Tribute is a high yielding strong gluten soft red wheat variety that must be grown and marketed separately from all other soft or hard winter wheat varieties.  Tribute has been identified by Kraft Foods in Toledo as having traits ideal for certain stronger gluten cookie and cracker manufacturing processes.  While most of the Tribute production is located in South-Western Ontario for shipment to Kraft's Toledo flour mill, C&M Seeds / Palmerston Grain is offering a limited acreage for production in mid-western Ontario.  It appears that Tribute will provide an income advantage in mid-western Ontario due to its combination of high yield and premium pricing.
